Niladri Lake or Siraj Lake is a wetland (lake) located in Tahirpur, Sunamganj district of Bangladesh, which is known for its natural beauty and biodiversity. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations and is particularly attractive for its natural environment. Location: Niladri Lake is located in Tahirpur upazila in the southeastern part of Sunamganj district. It is about 20-25 kilometers from Sunamganj city. Niladri Lake can be reached through Sunamganj Sadar upazila. History: This abandoned quarry of the border Takerghat limestone mining project started collecting limestone in 1940. Limestone was collected here and sent to the Assam Bangla Cement Factory built in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj to meet the necessary demand. Sundarbans - The world's largest mangrove forest, one of the world's natural wonders. It is a vast natural forest covering 10,000 square kilometers in the coastal region of the Bay of Bengal. It is located in both Bangladesh and India. Sundarbans is 6,517 square kilometers (66%) in Bangladesh and the remaining part (34%) is in India. On December 6, 1997, UNESCO recognized it as a World Heritage Site. Sundarbans is entangled like a web of marine currents, mud flats and small islands with salinity of mangrove forests. 31.1 percent of the total forest area, i.e. 1,874 square kilometers, is wetlands consisting of rivers, creeks, and beels. Sundarbans is home to the famous Royal Bengal Tiger, Chitra Harin, Sundari and Gewa trees. পোখরা  শহরটি কাঠমন্ডূ থেকে ২০০ কিলোমিটার বা ১২০ মাইল দূরে অবস্থিত। এটি  কাঠমন্ডূ  শহরের পশ্চিমে অবস্থিত।   পোখরা উপত্যকার উত্তর-পশ্চিম প্রান্তে শহরটি অবস্থিত। এই উপত্যকা দিয়ে স্বেত গন্ধকি নদী বা সাদা নদী প্রবাহিত হয়েছে। এই শহরটি থেকে ১৫ থেকে ৩৫ কিলোমিটারের মধ্যেই অন্নপূর্না রেঞ্জ অবস্থিত। বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ দশটি পর্বতশৃঙ্গের মধ্যে তিনটি রয়েছে এই পর্বতমালায়, এগুলি হল- ধবলগিরি, অন্নাপূর্না ১ ও মাকালু। এই শহরে রয়েছে পর্বত আরোহনের বেস ক্যাম্প । এখানে পর্বতারোহীরা আসেন পর্বতে উঠার জন্য। এখানে রয়েছে গোরখা সেনাদের বসবাস। পর্যটন ক্ষেত্র হিসেবে শহরটি খুবই পরিচিত। অবস্থানঃ   পোখরা শহরটি একটি পার্বত্য উপত্যকায় গড়ে এঠেছে।  শহরটি সর্বোচ্চ ১৭৪০ মিটার ও সর্বনিম্ন ৮২৭ মিটার উঁচু। ফলে শহরটিতে মাত্র এক কিলোমিটারের ব্যবধানে উচ্চতার বিরাট পরিবর্তন ঘটে। শহরটি অন্নাপূর্না পর্বত শ্রেনীর একটি অংশে ও হিমালয় পর্বতের মধ্য এলাকায় অবস্থিত। এই উপত্যকার প্রধান নদী হল স্বেত গন্ধকি। উপত্যকাটিতে এই নদীর বহু উপনদী রয়েছে। নদীটি কিছু জায়গায় মাত্র কয়েক মিটার চওড়া। ফেওয়া হ্রদ:...
